Hamlet TikTok Challenge
Take on our Hamlet TikTok Challenge, and be in with a chance of winning a pair of on-stage tickets to see the show!
Visit us @TheatreRoyalWindsor on TikTok, and you’ll see a video of our Hamlet, Ian McKellen, starting Hamlet’s famous ‘To be or not to be’ speech.
To enter our competition, we’re asking you to Stitch or Duet the video and finish the soliloquy in the most inventive and creative way you can! Make sure you tag us and use the hashtag #theatreroyalwindsor when you post your video.
Here are the lines from the legendary speech:
To be, or not to be
that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep –
No more, and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to; ‘tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep –
To sleep, perchance to dream – ay, there’s the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
Ian and the director of Hamlet, Sean Mathias, will pick their favourites from the entries – and then we’ll be in contact with the lucky winners! Good luck!
