Thanks to the phenomenal support of Sir Ian McKellen through funds raised by his visiting solo show in February 2019, there are now more ways than ever before to get involved with the exciting happenings here at the theatre.
Our offer of outreach and creative projects is getting bigger, bolder and more diverse!
LAMDA CLASSES
We are now thrilled to offer LAMDA Drama classes for ages 8-18 with our in-house LAMDA teacher.
Build your self-confidence and performance skills by working towards qualifications from one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies.
Home Education Drama Classes
Our weekly Home Education Drama Classes teach young people (ages 7-13) the foundations of theatre studies.
The sessions are focused on building interactive drama skills, encouraging pupils to work together to produce a range of exciting performance projects.
Easter Community Production
Theatre Royal Windsor’s new Easter project, Musicals Through Time, invites young performers (aged 9 – 15) to star in a one-night musical spectacular on our prestigious stage!
Featuring hit songs from the Golden Age of theatre, right through to the modern mega musical, now is YOUR moment!

Summer Community Production
Each year, our exceptional community company stage a full-scale musical right here in Windsor.
Following the success of our 2024 creepy Summer Show, The Addams Family – A New Musical Comedy, we are now looking for local performers to join our Rydell Class of ‘25 in GREASE.

TRW Reviewers
Ever fancied yourself as a theatre reviewer and wanted to give it a go? TRW Reviewers enables participants to receive complimentary tickets for selected productions, in exchange for their reviews* TRW Reviewers will be allocated productions and tasked with writing short reviews.
Unsure how to begin your review? Don’t panic! You will be sent advice prompts and one-to-one Zoom sessions to help you on your way! Approved reviews will feature in our Off-Script Blog page on our website and social media channels.
*Please note that participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult when attending performances or on Zoom calls. A companion ticket will be provided for TRW Reviewers under the age of 16.
*The number of reviewers selected for each production will be capped at 4 and selected at random from the signed-up pool of participants.

Windsor Words
Where you have the opportunity to be involved with read-throughs of both original and familiar scripts in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
Local playwrights, performers and theatre-enthusiasts are all invited to come along.
You may even see some of the shows spring up on stage here in Windsor and other regional venues.
Give support to local talent and ask questions which will help them to develop their work further.
Whether you’re an aspiring writer looking for feedback, a performer keen to explore new material, or simply a theatre lover eager to be part of the creative process, Windsor Words is the perfect space to connect and collaborate.

Work Experience
Work experience at Theatre Royal Windsor offers students and graduates the chance to learn about the inner workings of the professional theatre industry. We aim to tailor our experiences to suit the needs of each individual applicant, with placements available in several departments.
We recommend submitting your application as far in advance as possible of your preferred start date.
