REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR OUR EASTER SHOW COMMUNITY PROJECT!

Update: Application deadline – Sunday 19th March

TRW’s Easter school is open to anyone aged 13 to 18 years old who has a passion for performance!

Over the two-week Easter break, young people will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a professional theatre environment, working with a professional director, musical director, lighting designer and sound designer. During the rehearsal process you will also learn about the different elements of putting on a show.

There’s plenty of opportunities to act, sing, dance and wear some fantastic costumes

Our previously run community projects have seen our local youth talent perform in productions of much-loved musicals such as The Little Mermaid Jr., Oliver!, Cats, West Side Story and Bugsy Malone.

In Legally Blonde Jr., the fun and upbeat musical follows the adventures of a sorority girl named Elle Woods – a Gemini with a double Capricorn moon – who tries to win her ex-boyfriend back by earning a Harvard law degree.

REHEARSALS:
From Monday 3rd April to Wednesday 12th April – excluding Sunday 9th and Monday 10th (Easter Bank Holidays).
(We may also hold some rehearsals in the run up to the beginning of April; dates TBC)

Once you have booked your place, we will send further details regarding auditions if you would like to be seen for a specific role.

If you would prefer not to audition for a specific role but would still like to be in the show. That is not a problem either, there will be plenty to do for everyone!

With a book by Heather Hach, music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Legally Blonde JR. is based on the book by Amanda Brown and the hit Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture starring Reese Witherspoon, which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy.  Legally Blonde The Musical opened at Broadway’s Palace Theatre in April 2007, starring Laura Bell Bundy as the iconic Elle Woods.

Legally Blonde JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI www.mtishows.co.uk
