Coming Soon | Spring - Summer 2024

Theatre Royal Windsor is delighted to announce a raft of new shows across 2024, including the return of our Sean Mathias season, plus visiting tours from Heathers – The Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, and our 2024 Community Show: The Addams Family.

We are delighted to welcome back Sean Mathias for his 4th Season of plays with us, kicking-off with Emlyn Williams’ Accolade (Fri 31 May – Sat 15 June), which follows the life of a celebrated writer on the verge of receiving a much-coveted award for his work. Behind the façade of the writer, lies a web of deception and dark desires, ready to unravel his carefully constructed life.

Following Accolade, as the second show of Sean’s season with us is Eduardo de Filippo’s Filumena (Fri 4 – Sat 19 October), a classic comedy set in the balmy Neapolitan heat. Filumena Marturano lies on her deathbed, waiting to marry the man who has kept her as his mistress for twenty-five years. No sooner than Filumena and Domenico are wed, she makes a miraculous recovery, much to the surprise of her new, unwilling husband and his younger lover!

With star casting to be announced, you won’t want to miss either show in the upcoming Sean Mathias season!

Following two smash-hit West End seasons and winning the WhatsOnStage award for BEST NEW MUSICAL, Heathers – the Musical returns to Windsor to begin a brand new UK tour (Wed 24 – Sat 27 Jul). Join us for some “Big Fun” as we follow Veronica as her story becomes intertwined with that of the infamous Heathers, and the mysterious teen rebel JD teaches her that it might kill to be a nobody, but it is murder being a somebody.

London Classic Theatre Company return to Windsor with the hilarious What the Butler Saw (Tue 7 – Sat 11 May). Probably Joe Orton’s most ambitious play, a manic farce and masterclass in fearless comedy writing. When a psychiatrist attempts to seduce a job applicant and is interrupted by the unexpected return of his wife and a spot inspection by his boss, he must scramble to conceal his doings – this play explores comic territory few playwrights have dared to visit!

Step into the chaos of government with brand-new political satire Party Games! (Tue 14 – Sat 18 May). Starring Matthew Cottle (Game On/The Windsors) and Debra Stephenson (Bad Girls/Coronation Street), this play places political leadership on the ledge and goes inside the turmoil of authority to see whether advisers do advise and if ministers can decide.

Feed the need for musical hilarity with Little Shop of Horrors (Tue 18 – Sat 22 Jun), the devilishly delicious sci-fi smash hit musical that has devoured the hearts of audiences around the globe, and now comes to Windsor in this brand-new production. Filled with incredible rock and roll music, be prepared to laugh, scream, and be convinced to give up gardening for life!

Following the success of our 2023 Easter School show, Legally Blonde Jr., our new summer project will give adult and child performers the opportunity to rehearse with a team of industry experts and perform in a professional theatre environment.

Registration is NOW OPEN for our 2024 Summer Community Production of The Addams Family – A New Musical (Rehearsals: Mon 12th – Tue 27th Aug. Performances: Wed 28 – Sat 31 Aug).

Become an Addams and join daughter, Wednesday, as she attempts to bring her boyfriend home to meet her kooky, spooky family. Will she finally get the “one normal night” she craves? Or will family secrets tear the young lovers apart? With hilarious songs and freakishly fun dances, your chance to get involved is “Just Around the Corner…”

Booking is currently on sale for our PlatinumDiamond and Royal members with General Sale beginning at midday on Friday 9th February.
