Neil plays Johnny in the new production of this award-winning comedy by Laura Wade, Home, I’m Darling.

Actor, Neil McDermott, stars in Home I'm Darling

Neil McDermott’s screen credits include BBC favourites such as Eastenders, Doctor Who, Casualty, Doctors and George Gently, as well as being a series regular in ITV’s The Royal and Rosemary and Thyme.

He has a rich stage career, including roles in Pretty WomanThe Sound of Music, Pride and Prejudice, Oliver!, Shrek the Musical and Club Tropicana.

Neil had the following to say about TRW when he was recently interviewed for Radio Berkshire: 

“Windsor is my local theatre. I’ve done a concert there once but I’ve never performed in a show […], so I’m really excited to be appearing in what is essentially my hometown to an audience that will probably be full of family and friends, lots of people who know me, throughout the whole time we’re there. I’ve wanted to work there for a long time and I’m really pleased that I’ve got the opportunity now.”

Home, I’m Darling received its World Premiere at Theatr Clwyd in 2018, before running at the National Theatre and transferred to the Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End, winning the 2019 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

Having sold out the National Theatre, be assured that Laura Wade’s production will be a hugely popular offering to Theatre Royal Windsor, where it begins its tour on Wed 25 Jan.
