Introducing: Jessica Ransom

Jessica will join us at Theatre Royal Windsor to play the lead role – domestic godess, Judy – in the new production of this award-winning comedy by Laura Wade, Home, I’m Darling.

BAFTA award winner, Jessica Ransom, stars in this sparkling, thought-provoking comedy about one woman’s quest to be the perfect 1950’s housewife. 

Jessica is most recognised for her role as Morwenna Newcross in ITV’s Doc Martin, starring alongside Martin Clunes and Joe Absolom along with her hysterical historical characters in the BBC’s Horrible Histories (for which she is also a co-writer) Further credits include: Defending the Guilty, The Escape Artist, A Saucerful of Secrets, The Outsiders and The Armstrong & Miller Show.

She has worked extensively for BBC Radio 4, most recently on Holmes & Watson and can next be seen in the Netflix Original feature film, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.

Home, I’m Darling received its World Premiere at Theatr Clwyd in 2018, before running at the National Theatre and transferred to the Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End, winning the 2019 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

Having sold out the National Theatre, be assured that Laura Wade’s production will be a hugely popular offering to Theatre Royal Windsor, where it begins its tour on Wed 25 Jan.
