HAMLET FILM ANOUNCED FOR 2024

In 2021, our theatre was transformed into the immortal Elsinore Castle, transferring Windsor’s critically acclaimed stage adaptation of HAMLET into this unique and contemporary film. The film utilises almost every space within this historic building.

Ian McKellen reprises his famous title role in what would become one of the last films Bill Kenwright was to produce, with direction by Sean Mathias.

Starring alongside Ian are Frances Barber, Jonathon Hyde, Jenny Seagrove, Steven Berkoff and Francesca Annis.

We hope you are as excited as us to see our beautiful theatre come to life in this modern psychological thriller, reimagining Shakespeare’s classic tragedy.

In Theatres 2024.
