Get your loved one’s New Year off to a thrilling start with The Cat and The Canary (15–25 Jan) featuring a star cast led by the legendary Britt Eckland (The Man with the Golden Gun). This story has been brought to the big screen three times – come and experience the thriller live on stage!

Other thrilling adaptations on offer at Theatre Royal Windsor this Spring include the Charles Dickens’ classic The Black Veil (3–7 Mar) and Charlotte Brontë’s gothic masterpiece Jane Eyre (27 Apr–2 May).

The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson (10 – 15 Feb): marvel at Will Barton’s uncanny portrayal of Boris Johnson as this London sell-out play embarks on a UK tour.

Bang, Bang! (9 – 13 Mar): comedy legend John Cleese makes his stage writing debut with this new farce starring a trio of screen stars –Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses), Tony Gardner (Last Tango in Halifax) and Wendi Peters (Coronation Street).

It’s hard to deny that panto is a firm family favourite! It’s got everything – comedy, music, heroes, villains and if you’re lucky, a custard pie or two in the face!! If you’re looking for a post-Christmas treat, Aladdin is playing until 12 January – don’t miss out!

The Family Fun continues into the New Year, with Billionaire Boy (19–22 Feb) coming for February Half Term.

Whether your kids have a love of dance, Vienna Festival Ballet return to Theatre Royal Windsor with the beautiful The Sleeping Beauty (16–21 Mar).

There’s going to be all sorts of Easter Holiday fun with our local cast of talented youth performers taking on Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR (15–18 Apr).

We’ve got two fantastic musicals coming to us in 2020 – for lovers of classic rock n roll music, the multi-award-winning musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (24–29 Feb) brings the story and songs of a musical legend to the stage. And for those looking for something more edgy and modern, the smash-hit musical Heathers the Musical (13–23 May) embarks on its first UK tour, kicking off in Windsor!

If you’re in search in performance opportunities, here at Theatre Royal Windsor we offer LAMDA Acting classes! LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) are one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies, and their examinations help to build self-confidence and performance skills by working towards qualifications. A great opportunity to hone performance craft in a building with such theatre history! 

We’re launching our first TRW Easter School project in 2020, where a cast of local youth performers will be taking on Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. If you know someone aged between 9 to 18, who you think would love nothing more than to belt out some of the classic Little Mermaid favourites, you can book them a place to become part of the TRW Easter School Company. There’s also opportunities for young people who have a passion for technical theatre too.
